Somerset Gas Gathering of Pennsylvania’s primary asset, Bear Print Pipeline, was originally constructed by Columbia Gas Transmission and operated as part of their interstate pipeline system until the late 1990’s.  In 2009, NCGT’s parent company, Somerset Gas Transmission Company, acquired and converted the asset into an un-regulated gas gathering system transporting Marcellus Shale production.

Somerset Gas Gathering of Pennsylvania added compression, modernized facilities and interconnected the pipeline to multiple interstate markets. SGG’s redevelopment strategy of utilizing existing pipeline corridors reduced environmental impacts and unnecessary tree clearing.

In 2018, NCGT and its partners sold Somerset Gas Gathering of Pennsylvania to Pin Oak Energy Partners.
