North Coast Gas Transmission is seeking to hire a full time Natural Gas Pipeline Measurement & Controls technician in Northeast Ohio region (Oberlin, Strongsville, Brunswick, Parma, Brecksville, Twinsburg areas). New position will have opportunities for advancement and growth.
Responsibilities:
Independently oversee the daily operation and maintenance of natural gas pipeline systems, including regulation, measurement, compression, and corrosion control
Troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, and maintain a wide variety of electrical, measurement, and control systems, including electronic flow meters (EFMs), SCADA interfaces, and RTUs
Diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical systems, including control panels, motor starters, relays, and instrumentation wiring
Lead advanced system diagnostics for gas measurement inaccuracies, SCADA data inconsistencies, and pressure/flow anomalies
Complete preventative maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of measurement and control equipment, ensuring integration with existing telemetry and monitoring systems
Conduct routine testing, verification, and calibration of pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, chromatographs, and flow computers to ensure measurement accuracy
Interpret and apply state and federal pipeline safety regulations and electrical codes to ensure ongoing compliance in field installations and maintenance
Develop and implement both short- and long-term maintenance plans in collaboration with senior management, with a strong focus on system reliability and operational efficiency
Serve as a field project lead during construction projects, third-party contractor work, and large maintenance initiatives
Prepare detailed technical reports, field logs, and incident documentation for internal review and regulatory compliance
Mentor and support training of less experienced technicians, particularly in areas of electrical systems and measurement technology
Act as an on-call emergency response technician, capable of independently diagnosing and resolving critical field issues under pressure
Communicate effectively with contractors, regulatory inspectors, landowners, and internal teams to ensure safe and efficient operations
Qualifications
Experience in natural gas regulation, compression, measurement, control systems and corrosion control
Familiarity with and an ability to perform pipeline maintenance activities, including but not limited to, pipeline patrols, pressure regulation, leak repairs and detection surveys, valve maintenance, cathodic protection systems and anodes, metering and measurement maintenance
Communicate with contractors, the general public, landowners, and government agencies as it relates to gas operations
Experience with electronic control systems
Must possess mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to trouble shoot both

Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to self-motivate and work independently on a daily basis
Ability to coordinate and work with team members regularly
24-hour availability for emergency response and callouts
Must pass random drug testing
Must live, or be willing to relocate to, Northeast, Ohio (areas/communities described above)
