Project Overview
Upper Sandusky Pipeline

The Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) is the leading merchant and processor of agricultural goods. In 2024, LDC began construction of a new soybean processing plant in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Employing over 100 people, the plant is responsible for sourcing soybeans, and selling soybean meal, soy hulls, and refined soybean oil.
For LDC’s new facility to be fully operational, North Coast installed 1.5 miles of 4” high pressure steel pipe. From definitive agreements to in-service, North Coast completed the project within 14 months.

Oregon Clean Energy

The Oregon Clean Energy Center (OCE) is a state-of-the-art combined cycle natural gas-fired power plant. The facility has 870 MW of demonstrated capacity with total capacity in excess of 900 MW. The facility reliably produces low-cost electricity for more than 700,000 homes and businesses in northwest Ohio.
OCE contracted with NCGT to develop and extend new high pressure natural gas infrastructure 23 miles from Maumee, Ohio to the plant near the Port of Toledo. In total, both the power plant and the pipeline project resulted in nearly $1B in new energy investments.
Shortly after construction commenced, NCGT transferred the asset into a new company called Generation Pipeline.
In 2019, NCGT and its partners sold Generation Pipeline to Nexus Gas Transmission, LLC a 50/50 partnership between DTE Energy Company and Enbridge Inc.

Cleveland Cliffs

Cleveland-Cliffs, an independent iron ore company headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, constructed a new $700 MM Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI) Plant near the Toledo Port.
In 2019, NCGT and its partners sold Generation Pipeline to Nexus Gas Transmission, LLC a 50/50 partnership between DTE Energy Company and Enbridge Inc.

Interstate Chemical

Alpont LLC, a subsidiary of Pennsylvania-based Interstate Chemical Company required a new natural gas lateral for deliveries into its new $62 MM facility in Oregon, Ohio.
In 2019, NCGT and its partners sold Generation Pipeline to Nexus Gas Transmission, LLC a 50/50 partnership between DTE Energy Company and Enbridge Inc.

Rover Interconnect
- 80k/DAY Supply Diversity
North Coast Gas Transmission completed a new interstate supply interconnect with the Rover Pipeline, expanding access to reliable, cost-effective natural gas. The project adds up to 80,000 MCF per day of supply diversity and delivers additional capacity to Columbia Gas of Ohio, POET, and KNG. By enabling access to lower-cost shale gas, the interconnect supports competitive pricing and long-term energy reliability for customers.

Nexus Interconnect

North Coast Gas Transmission constructed a new interstate supply interconnect with the Nexus Pipeline to enhance regional reliability and flexibility. The project delivers up to 130,000 MCF per day of diversified supply and provides additional capacity to Enbridge Gas Ohio. Work included installation of approximately 1,200 feet of a 12-inch high-pressure steel lateral, enabling customers to access lower-cost shale gas.
